Who Is Glen Neeley?
Utah DUI Defense Attorney — Defending Drivers Since 1998
A DUI charge can put your driver license, your job, and your reputation at risk in a matter of days. For more than 25 years, Glen Neeley has focused his practice on defending Utah drivers in exactly these moments — building a reputation for meticulous case preparation, scientific cross-examination, and an unwavering commitment to protecting his clients’ licenses, freedom, and futures.
Admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1998, Glen has built his career around one thing: knowing DUI law and the science behind it better than the prosecution does.
A Practice Built on DUI Defense
Glen Neeley doesn’t dabble in DUI cases — they are the center of his practice. He prepares every case as if it will go to trial, and he challenges every step of the government’s investigation, from the traffic stop to the breath or blood test results.
He believes effective DUI defense requires independence, preparation, and a willingness to question every assumption the prosecution makes. As he puts it: every detail matters when your freedom, license, career, and reputation are at stake.

Scientific & Technical DUI Training
Much of a DUI case turns on science — breath testing, blood analysis, and field sobriety evaluation. Glen has completed many of the same training programs used to certify the police officers and state toxicologists who testify against drivers.
Field Sobriety Testing
Certified in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) by a certified NHTSA instructor — the same training law enforcement receives.
Breath Testing
Completed the Robert F. Borkenstein course (December 2003), the same training required of state intoxilyzer experts. Glen is trained as both an operator and a technician on intoxilyzer machines under DOT standards — and he owns his own Intoxilyzer 5000EN, which he uses to identify weaknesses, inaccuracies, and errors in breath test evidence.
Scientific Evidence
Completed advanced coursework in scientific evidence through the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the National College for DUI Defense, staying current on forensic science and evolving DUI defense strategies.
A Recognized Voice in DUI Defense
Glen is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and has served as faculty, presenting at national seminars on DUI defense.
He also commits more than 40 hours each month to ongoing research — DUI case law, scientific literature, legal treatises, and breath and blood testing developments — so his clients benefit from the most current legal and scientific arguments available.
Trial & Appellate Results
Glen prepares each case for trial from day one. His defense work routinely includes pre-trial motions, cross-examination of prosecution witnesses, expert testimony, independent investigation, video analysis, and scientific challenges to chemical test evidence.
That preparation produces results. In one case before the Utah Court of Appeals, the court affirmed dismissal after Glen successfully argued that the State lacked sufficient evidence to establish probable cause that his client was impaired. The prosecution asked the Utah Supreme Court to review the decision — and the Court declined.
A Personalized Approach
Clients across Utah — and from out of state — seek out Glen for DUI and driver license matters because he handles cases personally and prepares each one with the same intensity. Outside the Courtroom
A lifelong Utahn, Glen spends his time off the clock outdoors — mountain biking, snowboarding, and exploring the state with his dog.
